Context
The assignment
Consistency mattered more than novelty. A visual calibration set established line weight, palette, environmental detail, and the treatment of people before production moved into reusable scenes and motion-ready assets.
Selected decisions
Calibrate before volume
Five controlled scenes were used to lock the visual contract before scaling production.
Keyframes first
Scenes are authored as strong still compositions, then translated into motion through deliberate in-betweens rather than random animation.
Historical texture
Paper, muted ink, restrained color, and geographic cues create specificity without turning the work into a generated-image showcase.
